Leading the way in vascular care.

Personal Statement:

After completing medical school, radiology residency, and an IR fellowship, I joined the VCU faculty, where I spent over a decade performing thousands of embolizations and advanced IR procedures in both children and adults. I developed specialized expertise in women’s health, vascular anomalies, oncology, and venous diseases, while also training the next generation of IR physicians.

Several years into my academic career, I met Dr. John Lipman of the Atlanta Fibroid Center, a leader in outpatient uterine fibroid and adenomyosis embolization. At the same time, I was feeling the strain of hospital-based practice, where increasing demands left less time for meaningful patient interactions. Dr. Lipman’s model, to deliver high-level embolization procedures in an outpatient setting, showed me it was possible to offer patients an exceptional, personalized experience with excellent outcomes. In 2025, I left VCU to open an interventional radiology center in Richmond, in partnership with Dr. Lipman, joined by my colleague and friend, Dr. Adam McLaurin.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned that great medicine is built on trust, compassion, and excellence. I believe the patient experience should extend beyond the procedure itself. Patients deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported at every step of their journey from diagnosis through recovery. While no physician can guarantee a perfect outcome every time, we can ensure that every patient receives evidence-based care delivered with empathy, honesty, and respect. These values form the cornerstone of my practice and the foundation of this center.
