Celebrating a Partner, a Physician, and a Friend

By Dr. Adam McLaurin, DO
When you work closely with someone day in and day out, you get to see what others don’t.
You see the extra time they take with patients. The follow-up calls that happen after hours. The way they explain things—not just clearly, but with genuine care and patience.
That’s why it means so much to share that my partner, Brian Strife, has been named a 2026 Super Star Doctorby Richmond Magazine.
This isn’t just another award. It’s one that’s decided by peers—physicians who know what it takes to deliver exceptional care and who consistently turn to Dr. Strife for his expertise. In fact, Super Star Doctors are recognized as Top Doctors again and again over more than a decade, a reflection of both trust and sustained excellence.
And that’s exactly who Brian is.
He’s been recognized every year since 2015, and with more than 15 years of experience in interventional radiology, he’s performed thousands of non-surgical procedures that have truly changed patients’ lives. But what stands out most isn’t just his experience—it’s how he shows up for every single patient.
I hear it all the time, not just from our team, but from the people we care for:
Dr. Strife was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident going into the procedure. I truly felt well cared for.
I was nervous for obvious reasons, but they really took care of me here. The procedure was practically pain-free… you can tell that he and his team care about positive outcomes.
I didn’t feel rushed at all and truly felt heard.
Those words matter. Because they reflect something we’ve worked hard to build together at Richmond Vascular Center.
We created RVC to be different from the traditional hospital experience—more personal, more focused, and more supportive from start to finish. Patients aren’t navigating a large system or seeing a different provider at every step. They’re working directly with a small, specialized team—and with the same physician from consultation through follow-up.
Procedures like uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) aren’t something we occasionally perform—they’re what we do every day. That focus allows us to deliver consistent, high-quality, non-surgical care in a setting designed specifically for comfort, privacy, and efficiency.
I’ve had the privilege of building this practice alongside Brian, and I can say without hesitation—this recognition is incredibly well deserved.
More importantly, it reflects what our patients already know.
