Richmond Vascular Center Speaks on Uterine Fibroids at Virginia Black Chamber Women’s Conference
March 24, 2026 Richmond Vascular Center
The Richmond Vascular Center team was proud to sponsor and participate in the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Women’s Conference & Brunch on March 7. The event brought together leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals for a day focused on leadership, growth, and women’s health and wellness.
As part of the program, Dr. Brian Strife of the Richmond Vascular Center joined the Health & Wellness panel to discuss an important and often overlooked condition: uterine fibroids.
During the discussion, Dr. Strife emphasized the importance of listening to your body and paying attention to symptoms that may be easily dismissed. Many women experience symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pressure, and fatigue but delay seeking care because they are unsure of what the symptoms might mean.
Dr. Strife encouraged attendees to ask questions and seek medical guidance early so they can better understand their options and make informed decisions about their health.
Uterine fibroids are very common, yet many women live with symptoms for years before realizing treatment options may be available. Community conversations like those at the Virginia Black Chamber Women’s Conference help increase awareness about fibroids and women’s vascular health.
The Richmond Vascular Center team is grateful to the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce team for hosting this meaningful event and for creating space for important conversations, such as slowing down to make health a priority.
